Ravens Season Stops Before Started
Going into the season, the Ravens had high hopes, putting their faith behind an efficient offense, and a athletic young defense. However, the football Gods decided the year was in fact not one for the Ravens, and struck earlier, Breaking the teams hopes in only its 1st game. The game started off decent, with the Bengals hoping off to a 3-0 1st Quarter lead following an interception by Quarterback Derek Anderson. In the Second Quarter, the Ravens rebounded, Hitting a field goal to tie the game at 3-3. But the Ravens were not finished. Before the Bengals could blink Anderson redeemed his earlier interception, throwing a 15 yard out route to Donald Driver, which was ran up the field for a 77 yard Ravens Touchdown.

The end of the 2nd Quarter would prove dark to the Ravens season however, as Derek Anderson rolled out of the pocket to the right side.

The scene scared the Ravens fans, knowing that their fate rested in the hands of their growing young Quarterback. He lay on the ground for quite some time, before being taken off the field. His return was doubtful. The Bengals stole the breath out of the now lifeless Ravens, putting another 3 on board to cut the Ravens lead to 10-6.

The rest of the game means very little due to the loss of Derek Anderson for the entire regular season, although Dan Orlovsky did give the fans back home a shimmer of hope, with his long bomb to Derrik Mason for 6 points. (Nugent slashed into this good feeling by missing the extra point)

It is yet to see how the Ravens will react, but it seems as if General Manager will be content to earn his team the #1 Overall pick in this years Rookie Draft.
