Titans Trade to help running game
Titans Acquire RB Reggie Bush for dismal Running Attack
Titans Acquire RB Reggie Bush for dismal Running Attack
The Tenneesee Titans acquired RB Reggie Bush from the Oakland Raiders and in exchange for that move sent RB Julius Jones along with next year's 1st and 2nd round picks. "The reason we made a move like this is because was have been struggling with running the ball the last two years and we need an explosive runner that can take off at any time and score even in the passing game. Reggie gives us that and much more" stated GM Dupree during the official press conference today. USA Today's called the move a smart one for the Titans and included a statement "A hard working skill player, Bush has homerun hitting speed and can produce in a variety of ways and could be the major homerun punch the Titans have been waiting on."

Reggie's strengths include Acceleration, Change of Direction and Elusiveness while areas of improvement consist of Durability - usc.scout.com

Now the 1-2 punch of Reggie Bush and Felix Jones give the Titans a elusive backfield that could hopefully produce big numbers when the time comes.

Starting to get ridiculous
Last Season
QB Bulger - Out 10 weeks (no playoffs but played in pro bowl)
QB Cutler - Out 8 weeks (no playoffs)
FS Brandon Merriweather - career ending

This Season
Dallas Clark - out 10 weeks
RB Clinton Portis - out for season

come on now.........if you don't want me to play let me know. This is starting to get ridiculous.

In the immortal words of the great head shrinkers of the past - may Karma be visited on the source of these problems 100 times over..........

Titans acquire WR Will Franklin for WR Depth

Titans acquire WR William Franklin shoring up the WR Depth for this season
Today the Titans jumped on WR William Franklin after the St Louis Rams had placed him on the trade block. The Titans organization have watched Franklin and even had him in camp for workouts a couple of seasons ago during the fantasy draft. GM Dupree spoke to the press corps in Memphis today.

"We welcome William to our team and our city. William is a a very good athlete...Good size and bulk...Terrific timed speed and quickness with a burst...Good body control and ball skills...An outstanding leaper...Has very good hands...Tough and fearless...A deep threat who can stretch the field vertically...Is elusive and will do some damage after the catch...Solid character..Still has upside that we can exploit against teams that we play this year and we plan to give him the ball." stated Dupree.

More Information about Franklin:
Is the nephew of Darnay Scott, who played in the NFL for 8 seasons most notably with the Cincinnati Bengals...He was overshadowed by fab frosh Jeremy Maclin in 2007 at the University of Missouri...From a height/weight/speed standpoint he looks like the prototype but for some reason he just hasn't been able to put it all together quite yet...Underrated prospect with all the physical tools you look for but he was drafted based more on potential than actual production.

I love Tennessee
No matter what happens to my team we did better than expected. These injuries to my quarterbacks I just take them with a smile because it wouldn't happen to anyone else. Just bad luck for no good reason. However, I congratulate the Titans for the year that they had. It seems that the Titans are not liked and honestly not sure why but God I love football and I love the green grass that the game is played on. I came into this year and did a very good job and I take my hats off to all the teams that I played.

Titans officially gain homefield advan through AFC playoffs
Jeff Fisher wants all the advantages and now he has home field for the AFC Playoffs
Jeff Fisher wants all the advantages and now he has home field for the AFC Playoffs

Memphis, TN - Cool down Jeff, your team was just awarded homefield advantage for the AFC Playoffs. This was not a easy feat as the Titans entered the season almost without a coach. Coach Duper was lured back with multi-year contracts.

"I didn't now that we would be at this position a couple of years after the fantasy draft" stated Coach Duper. "Hey, we took our time in that draft and got youth and undiscovered talent that has progressed nicely in the last couple of years." added Coach Duper.

Last year was a sophomore year in which the team ran into some bumps along the road but through trades and FA pick-ups in the right places, the Titans have the right stuff to make a charge toward bringing the city of Tennessee a championship.
